Eals
EALS
is a small hamlet, consisting of a few scattered farms, on the east side of
the South Tyne, here crossed by a stone bridge of two arches, 2 miles north
from Slaggyford station on the AIston branch railway, and 6
south-by-south-west from Haltwhistle.
The
Wesleyan chapel here erected in 1871 at a cost of £120, is a small building
of stone, seating 50 persons.
